The Hardy Boys Mystery Stories was a series of books attributed to Franklin W. Dixon and published by Pocket Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, under a number of imprints: of the 132 titles published between 1979 and 2005, 27 volumes appeared under Wanderer Books (1979–1985), 85 volumes under Minstrel Books (1987–2001), and 20 volumes under Aladdin Paperbacks (2002–2005). Most of the Wanderer titles featured illustrations by Leslie Morrill (volumes 59–74), Denis Orloff (volumes 75–76), and Paul Frame (volumes 77–82). Volumes 86 to 128 were produced by Mega-Books of New York, Inc., whereas volumes 129–154 were produced by Mega-Books, Inc. This series was preceded by a first series of books published by Grosset & Dunlap.
